A Mouth Watering Website

A friend of mine recently took a plunge and decided to stop doing web design/programming gigs, and follow a dream of attending culinary school to become a chef. It got me looking around at different culinary websites. I came across http://www.vegasculinary.com/, a pretty fancy culinary school in Vegas.

I like this website. You immediately know what the site is about. Even my 4 year old son came up, glanced at the site, and said asked, “Why are you watching cooking?”

The menu navigation is nice and colorful - each button is a plate of food. And you can navigate around to find exactly what you’re seeking.

The site makes good use of a lot of photos. Photos of chefs. Photos of food. And photos of Vegas! How better can you describe food and atmosphere! Photos do this site well! Even the added touch of a Flash photo slideshow fits well here.

So, these guys do a nice website. Can they turn out good chefs? Well, they seem to run a restaraunt staffed by students (http://www.vegasculinary.com/onsite_restaurant.asp). I’ll just have to make a point of stopping by there next time I’m in Vegas!
